We had an awesome Christmas this year filled with many blessings. This year Emmaline discovered the truth of the Santa secret. I was very sad that is only seven and already figured out the truth. But in other ways it was really fun for her to know too!
This year Santa decided that each girl needed her very own treasure chest to keep in her room. Owing to the fact Santa also keeps a very busy schedule that keeps him away from his workshop for 50% of the year - Santa wasn't quite able to finish them. The good news is that as a result, the girls got their treasure chests assembled, but unfinished. So they will be able to take a trip to the store to pick out their own stain and help finish them themselves, which should be fun.

Idgie is obviously into ballet this year. She loves anything associated with it and is always dancing around the house. I would say the that biggest hit this year for her is actually a stuffed bear that Lincoln got her. She has it with her almost all the time.
For Emmaline the hit this year were the mini American Girl dolls we got her. She is desperate for a big one (Kit specifically) and know that she can't have one until she turns eight. So she was very thrilled and surprised to get these little ones (Kirsten, Felicity, and Marie-Grace). The idea being that if she shows us she can take care of the little ones, then we will know she is ready for a big one!
Liliana loved her Cabbage Patch doll the best. We got her one that looks very much like her and she loves that. She carries her doll around with her and has fun playing imagination games. Cabbage Patch dolls look a little different than when I got mine, but I'm glad the love is still there.
Lincoln's Christmas was all about cars! He loves cars. He exclaims, "Car! car! car!" whenever he sees one in real life or a toy or in a book. Anything that is a vehicle is a car (and anything that is an animal is a horse). He can't get enough cars - so that is what he got! All said and done, I got 14 wheeled items of one sort or another, not to mention the car board book, and a ball that rolls.
